i try not to get too attached to objects but some things seem to wriggle their way into my everyday life and become a bit special even though they are cracked, imperfect and worn... tiny pair of glasses inspired by Adolf Loos's perfect set of drinking glasses- one of the few domestic / utilitarian objects he ever designed, a small lime green bowl apparently used to make little steamed puddings in the 50's, a delicate pair of miniature china cups, a chunk of obsidian - volcanic rock found around Rotoiti, and a small hand made sage green ceramic vessel cracking in a cob-webby beautiful kind of way.
