kitty kitty kitty

watery, pastel acrylics and paper depicting cats and dogs and deer and other beasts... michael harrison's paintings gently flit and float around. light colours bleed and seep over nubbly paper, the traces of flowing brushstrokes that create the forms of lovely creatures and mystical landscapes.

it looks like one can see some of his works at papakura art gallery as part of animal incarnations. I have yet to visit this gallery but a group exhibition revolving around the depiction of animals may just draw me out to the suburbs.
